The Quebec Genomic Data Center is a data harmonization and sharing platform for clinical and genomic datasets produced by Québec’s clinical and research studies.
Data portalThe CQDG platform is inspired by a number of projects we have developed for major international entities such as the Data Coordination Center of the International Cancer Genome Consortium (ICGC), the Cancer Genome Collaboratory, and the NCI Genomic Data Commons. In addition, our team actively develops the Gabriella Miller Kids First Data Resource Portal and the NIH INCLUDE Data Hub.
The CQDG uses a rigorous governance framework developed in collaboration with the Center for Genomics and Policy at Mcgill University. This framework ensures that CQDG's datasets are only accessible to researchers who have previously obtained the authorizations required by the ethics committees that govern them. The CQDG platform is hosted on Calcul Québec's new Juno cloud computing infrastructure as part of the Secure Data for Health project, thus respecting the strictest security standards.
The CQDG adheres to numerous international standards which foster collaboration and secure data sharing with other genomic data centers around the globe. These include HL7 FHIR clinical standards, Monarch Initiative ontologies and programmatic application interfaces from the Global Alliance for Genomics and Health (GA4GH).
The CQDG is made possible thanks to the financial support of Génome Québec, the Fonds de recherche québécois en santé (FRQS), the Canadian Innovation Fund (FCI) and the collaboration of numerous partners including
